If you only have 3 days for a journey traveling in Vietnam, it seems hard to choose where to go. As a local, I recommend you a detailed schedule for Vietnam Itinerary 3 Days.
3 days is too short to visit many different places in Vietnam and you should be ready for a rush trip so that 2 near tourist attractions are suitable.

Option 1: 2 Days in Hanoi, 1 Day in Halong Bay
- Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
After a long flight to Hanoi, you should take a short rest at first to prepare enough energy for 3-day itinerary in Vietnam. Next, you should go to enjoy Hanoi specialties, considered as a must-try thing whenever coming to Hanoi, that will definitely not disappoint you.
Next, you can visit some famous sites in Hanoi. I highly recommend you visit the Old Quarter of Hanoi, where you can find lots of cuisine and involve in lifestyle and culture of Hanoi people and especially, it is really fit for anyone who love photography.
In the evening, it is time to relax. You can have a coffee – a typical drink of Hanoi, highly recommending Giang cafe – the most famous coffee in Hanoi. You can also have some fun in Ta Hien Street.
Tips: It may sometimes struggle you how to get to all of these places. To make it easier, try to find a Hanoi free tour guide on Facebook or Google who is really nice but still free. You can also find from some of these organizations such as Hanoikids Tours, AZ Local Free Tour, Hanoi Free Tour Guide,

For just only one day in Halong, you still can enjoy a wonderful Halong Bay cruise. In Halong bay, you can involve in a plenty of different activities when visiting this amazing bay.
First of all, you can go sightseeing and immerse yourself into the breathtaking scenery in Halong with a range of beautiful islands and islets. You can stop in Ti Tov island, one of the most wonderful islands on Halong Bay, to contemplate the beauty of mother nature and release your emotion.
